Google has announced the new feature, describing it as one of the most popular requests from users, this has been done today during an event in the USA in San Francisco. Of course we shall not get the update that quick due to our geographical location here in Africa,  but it is believed have to support for texting a popular way of communicating on the continent (not that we cant SMS now). The same update will also introduce a one-tap location-sharing feature. “How many times have you been in a conversation with a friend, and the question has come up, ‘Where are you?’” Gundotra said. “There’s simply a button at the bottom, a place button. You click it, and we will get your location from Google Maps and inject it with a single click.”

As an added bonus, the new app will have support for animated GIFs. “In our testing, honestly even I was surprised by how amazing this feature is to express creativity,” Gundotra said. Also expect Video calls to be revamped. A long requested feature was HD video chats and at last we have it.
