Telecos in Uganda seem to be waking up to the reality of  the rapidly growing demand for the internet thanks to the data hungry social media and entertainment apps that are being developed nowadays. Airtel Uganda has this weekend announced a new promotional offer dubbed “AirtelGattawo”, and just like MTN’s recently launched “Juzza Internet” promo customers will have their data doubled for every bundle they load.

The Smartphone Network, will not only match MTN’s offer, but also reward customers for using Airtel Internet bundles and make it easier and more affordable for them to enjoy the benefits of the internet, without worrying about high costs. It should be noted that only those who load data bundles of 100 MB or more will be automatically doubled a condition which is similar in the yellow camp.

       How to activate “AirtelGattawo”

      1. Customers who load bundles of 100MB or more will be automatically doubled with the equivalent value e.g. when a customer loads 1GB, they get a total of 2GB
      2. To enter the Gattawo Internet promotion, the customer dials *175*100# to get started.
      3. Social and Night pack bundles are not eligible for this promotion.
      4. The promotion will run for a period of 3 months
