Today Netflix has given its subscribers a feature they have been asking for since day one. You can now download Netflix content a watch it any where in offline mode on your smartphone or tablet. In a blog, the streaming media company announced that users will be able to download select Netflix content for use while they’re away from a data connection beginning Wednesday.
A new “download” button has been added in the latest update but it is only for select films and TV shows, and plans to add more to the catalog of available titles in the future. All Netflix original content will be available for offline viewing, including Orange is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown available are all available for download.
The feature is available on Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, provided they’re running iOS 8.0 or Android 4.4.2 or later.
