    How to register and become a WhatsApp beta tester on iOS

    WhatsApp beta program has been available to users on Android and Windows Phones, with availability on iOS availability open to a selected few. Whoever joins the program has access to upcoming features for testing, even when some of these do not even roll out for the public.

    The latest we can gather is that WhatsApp has opened up its beta program for any iOS user, to sign-up and receive beta builds so as to try out the latest features before others.

    How to download WhatsApp beta for iOS

    We recommend that you back up your data (especially your WhatsApp chat history) before going through this process, so as to protect it in the event of anything unusual.

    You are required to first download TestFlight from App Store. After installing it, you should then visit the WhatsApp Messenger beta sign-up link on your iPhone or iPad to request for a slot.

    You should accept the terms and conditions, and receive an invite, which upon accepting should grant you the allowance to test WhatsApp beta for iOS.

    When you click on install, WhatsApp will ask you to replace the current app version with the test version. Check that and then select “Open” to unveil the new WhatsApp beta app.

    Limited slots

    If you are interested in joining the iOS beta programme for WhatsApp, you should register for it sooner as slots might be limited. It is noted that WhatsApp beta for iOS gets updates every two days.

    WhatsApp recently introduced stickers for both Android and iOS app users, which users can now download and use for expression in chats; and is as well adding private replies for group chats on Android. Not to forget, the Picture-in-picture mode also recently introduced to allow for video play wihtin a chat when you receive links of videos hosted on YouTube, Facebook, Streamable, or Instagram.
