Airtel Uganda customers can now call at one rate across all networks

Airtel Uganda has this week announced a single tariff for all calls both on net and off net. This follows MTN Uganda’s April 1st recent move where it announced a similar tariff. Has the battle now come back to voice from data?

Uganda’s only self proclaimed 100% 4G network now offers a standard calling rate across all networks effective 2nd April 2019. The per second rate charge is UGX and the per minute charge UGX 180.

It should be noted that the indicated changes are not applicable to postpaid customers or voice bundles (MyPakalast, Pakalast, Zaweze bundles, UGX 4 per second and open market bundles).
